Christian Radio on Survivor
Tonight kicks off a new season of Survivor on CBS.
We are certainly not in the business of recommending what you watch on television, but we were excited to hear that a host from a Christian radio station in Charlotte (Leslie Nease) is going to be featured. Based on a new YouTube video release, it appears that her faith is being tested early on. While the filming of the show has concluded, you can be in prayer!
- pray that the millions who watch will be touched by the way she stands up for her faith!
- Pray also that the editors who are putting the shows together portray her faith in a respectful and honest way!
It serves as a great reminder of our own survival! Many of our listeners have told us how they have survived cancer, medical emergencies, emotional trauma, abuse and so much more.
Survived a Death Sentence
Many of us have survived a death sentence as well. The Bible tells us (Romans 3:23) that we have all sinned, and that the penalty for our sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God loved us so much, that He sent his son, Jesus, to pay that penalty for us (Romans 5:8-9, John 3:16).
Unlike the survivors on TV, there are no immunity challenges, or contests, or actions we can do to earn the right to be called a “survivor”. It is a free gift that is offered to us, and all we need to do is accept it! (Romans 10:9-10).
If you would like to know more about how you can be a survivor, someone is available to talk to you right now at 1-888-NEED-HIM (1-888-633-3446)!
Have you survived?
We would love to hear your stories!
If you have survived a hard time in life, we would love to hear about it!
If you would like to share your story about how YOU survived this “death penalty”, we would love to hear about it!

I don’t know what I did the first time, but I lost what I was typing, or maybe you received the “partial”! So here goes again…
20 years ago at age 24 and recently married, my healthy body was suddenly and viciously attacked. Diagnosis: multiple sclerosis. I mostly recovered from the initial attack (with much support from a Christian husband, parents and siblings), got back on my feet, went back to work part-time and even had 3 beautiful kids! I’d experience minor exacerbations, only a few somewhat major, in the years that followed…till 2 years ago when I was hit hard again! I fell into the pits of despair, even more so than during my initial diagnosis.
Many, many medical tests only confirmed I wasn’t dying; this was of no consolation to me. 10 miserable months later, I decided I had a choice: keep trying to fight and fix on my own, or give it all (for real) to God. I chose the latter (smart gal!) and immersed myself in God’s Word, adjusted my perspective as best I could, and developed a very personal relationship with Jesus. I have attained contentment and confidence that I can’t adequately describe. Physically, I still have issues, but I’m NEVER alone. I have even stepped out in faith to pursue a degree in Christian Counseling at Northwestern - very scary for me, but I’m trusting God to lead me and use me where he wants me!
KTIS - a special thanks to you - your music and messages have had a HUGE impact on my life and my famiy’s. The night I decided I had a choice to make, I was sitting in my truck in our church parking lot - crying and scanning through radio stations - guess where I landed…never to leave again?!
